Who We Are

The Archimedes Project is not any specific project but a group of individuals committed to making information technology available to all people, regardless of abilities, needs, preferences, and culture.

Challenges to achieving this objective are many and diverse, requiring not only new technology but also innovative strategies for its funding, deployment and maintenance. To address these challenges, the Archimedes team represents multiple academic disciplines and broad real-world experience and engages in collaborative projects worldwide, including ones at Ritsumeiken University and Waseda University (Japan), Royal College of Art (UK), Trinity College (Ireland), and Auckland University of Technology (New Zealand).

Comprising a core team led by Archimedes co-founder Neil Scott, the Project welcomes scholars, researchers, and engineers from both public and private sectors and offers a rewarding educational environment for post-doctoral, graduate, and undergraduate students worldwide.
